Doubling pattern sizes
Hi. I've got a pattern for a Union Jack throw. I'd like to double the size and make it more of a blanket size. Doubling the stitches in the row is easy, but is there a way to calculate how to do row increases when the patterns has diagonals in it? Wish I could post an image to show what I mean by diagonals. I guess the easiest way is to imagine an X. Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have.

Welcome to Knitting Help!
Even though you have the pattern (and perhaps a chart) it may help to chart it again at the larger size with one of these methods.
