Need help pu and knit behind
I'm working on a sweater vest that says to pick up and knit 20 sts behind center front. I know that this will basically cause the material to overlap, but I'm not sure where to pick up from. All I've found online are how to pick up stitches from edges but there is no edge here, as I'm knitting in the round. Help!!

There are thousands of patterns so if you can please give us a link or at least the pattern name it would help.

You'll have to pick them up along the row you're working. This is actually a video for a hem but you can see where she's stitching. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML-Ea7DAl0Q I think that's where you will want to pick up your stitches. I don't know of videos for picking up along an already knitted row, they are probably out there, somewhere. Personally, I'd see how a kfb and move the purled looking stitches to the needle in back would work out. I've used this method for starting pockets w/o seams. You might want to use a smaller size needle if you try the kfb, for me those sitches are always looser. HTH If not, someone else will be able to give you a better answer. That's a really cute pattern.

That's a nice video, GG. Here's another way to pick up sts from a row further back in the knitting. You can do it for the previous row as well. The videos show the sts being worked with the current live stitch but you would just slip the picked up st to another needle.
I agree, very sweet pattern with a neat overlap.

Thanks so much, those videos are great. I have to try that picot hem soon. I saw the video I posted and thought that the contrasting yarn showed the stitches well and hoped it would help. I can't explain well how to pu the stitches on a row. I see it in my head but can't put it into words. I wasn't familiar with the tuck stitch at all.
