pattern HELP...
I am fairly new to knitting and am working on a sweater. Can anyone help me through this part? (This pattern is knitted on circular needles and there are 250 stitches at this time)

"Dividing for front and back"

K13 sts, place preceding 25 sts on holder to be used later for left underarm, K100 and place on 2nd holder for front, k25 and place on 3rd holder for right underarm, k100 for back, leaving these sts on needle.......

I get all but the first part where it says "place preceding 25 sts on holder" What happens with the 1st 13?

Hi and welcome!
It's not the clearest direction but what they want you to do is knit 13sts and then place those 13 plus the 12sts previously knit at the end of the last round on a stitch holder. You'll have 25sts straddling the beginning of round marker on a holder for the left undearm.

Sh the delicious brevity and ambiguity of knitting patterns!
