Estonian lace mittens pattern???
Hello everyone!!

So, I found a photo of these mittens on pinterest, and I absolutely LOVEEEE them. I've been looking everywhere for a pattern, but can't find one :(

I already know how to knit mittens, but I have never knitted lace before.

Does anyone know where to find this pattern, or know how to knit this lace on the mitten? I'd obviously prefer to have the pattern, but if someone could figure it out or explain the steps to me that would work too! I can't go through this winter without these mittens! :P

Also, I have pretty big hands, so if someone can explain how to enlarge the lace as well, that would be fantastic.

Here's a link to the photo in case the upload failed: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/or...0248ad4a4f.jpg

I really appreciate the help, I want to make these very badly!!!

Thank you!

-Ally

Estonian lace is just so gorgeous isn't it?
I assume you tried clicking the Pinterest photo to see if the pattern came up? Have you searched Ravelry for similar patterns in lace?

The size may not be such a problem if you use a heavier weight yarn. That'll automatically increase the size.

Yes, I have looked everywhere I can think of :(

I suppose I'm just curious about how to start this. I see a seemingly normal mitten underneath the lace, so how does the lace connect to the normal mitten underneath and where? I think I can figure out the lace, I just am not sure how to knit over something and connect it.

It could be a separate mittern that fits over a knit lining. It may also be a lace pattern attached only to the back of the mitten. It might then be attached at the side edges leaving the under mittern showing on the palms..
