Mosaic Crib Blanket
I haven't been on in a long time and this is the first thing I have knit in many months. Been doing other things. But my granddaughter asked me to make a blanket for the baby she is expecting in December so I had to get back at it. I wanted to use yarn I had on hand so needed something with more than one color. I went with mosaic patterns. They are in one of Barbara Walker's stitch books. I've never done much with mosaic before, but this was kind of fun. This is just good ole Red Heart, but I think it worked up nicely and is nice and soft after a wash and run through the dryer.

Mosaic for anyone who might not know kind of has a result like stranded knitting, but it isn't. You never work with more than one color in a row and get the color change effect by slipping stitches.

Too cool! I love the colors and the way it all goes together and works together. This blanket should serve well for many babies! Beautiful!

Sensational! I had no idea that mosaic knitting is not stranded.

Nice to see you here again! That is a gorgeous blanket! I love mosaic knitting. I've only done a hat though.

Judy, it's exquisite! I am just bowled over. Gorgeous colors and patterns that look like they should be hanging on a gallery wall.
