Cowl Help Please
Hi, I'm knitting Wendy Super Chunky Thor on 15mm needles. Pattern on the ball band is:

row 1: *(yfwd) twice, k1, rep * to end
row 2: *k1, (k1,p1) into dbl yfwd, lift 2nd and 3rd sts on right needle over first st and off right needle, rep * to end.

I understand all the instructions but can't figure out how to do the first (yfwd)twice of row one.

Can anyone help?

It's a little interesting, but it'll work. Since it's essentially the first stitch of the next row, cast on, turn if that's what the pattern calls for, then make your wraps a little looser than you normally would. You might have to kind of hold onto the wraps with the tip of one finger while you knit the first cast-on stitch so the yarn doesn't pull up or sag.
