Bundles of Bows Dishcloth, Slippers and Man's Woolly Hat
The hat is completed but I haven't taken a picture yet. It was a quick and easy project. There was an error in the pattern but it was easily dealt with. The hat is a Christmas present for dh, but my 2 sons who live with us are a bit concerned about me giving it to dh as he tends to wear headwear perched on top of his head with his hair sticking out at odd angles.

The slippers were a pattern I found online. I knit one, discovered it was too small and frogged it, then decided I didn't like the colour combination - black and pale blue - on slippers. Still trying to decide on an alternative colour.

The dishcloth is the one I was having problems with. I am using the corrected version as posted by Salmonmac. I have reached the dreaded Row 11 but am going to have to tink, not because I have a problem with the pattern, but because I am 1 stitch short. I don't know where it went missing, but at least I discovered at this stage and not much later in the project.

Oh Gillian,

It sounds as if you've been bit by the frogging bug.

But congratulations on your FO hat for your DH, looking forward to seeing your photo of it.

I have restarted the slippers with Funky Fur yarn by Sirdar. The colour better suits my dressing gown lol.

I have also restarted the dishcloth but it's not looking quite right. One of the 'butterflies' isn't sitting quite right.

I haven't got around to taking a picture of the hat - will try to do so by the next time I post here.

Ok, I am posting 2 pictures showing Rows 11 and 17 as per Salmonmac's instructions. One shows the left side of the work, the other the right.

As you can see, the 'butterflies' don't sit quite right and the instructions for Row 17 don't allow for the strands at the end of that row.

I've frogged yet again to try another lot of instructions I was given.

I have also included a picture of the hat:

Hey Gillian - I found a version of the Butterfly Stitch. I don't know if you've managed to get your pattern to work out, but in case you haven't this may be an option.

Thanks Claire. I haven't managed to get the pattern to work out yet, so I'll check out that link. I have started the 2nd suggested version I was sent, but haven't reached the butterfly stitch part yet.
