Lace chart question...HELP!
So I've just begun knitting a couple weeks ago and after doig some simple things I wanted to try my first attempt at lace. I purchased a pattern on etsy and am a bit confused on how to execute.

I cast on my 88 stitches and did k1,p1 for several rounds and am ready for the lace work to start.

I'm confused about the "No Stitch" boxes. Would I just pretend they aren't there and make the first 11 stitches in the round the purl ones indicated on the chart and continue the round by making the 12th stitch that k2tog in the 2nd row and just keep going around and around?

I apologize if this is a stupid question, I'm a total newb still! :/

The first round will be all purl--you repeat the sections in the chart over and over around until the entire round is done.

The first knit round will use 11 stitches and leave you with 13 for the next rounds.

So each line is repeated over and over until the end of each round?

If my first row is all purl

My 2nd round would be k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k2, k2tog repeated until the end of the round and so on and so forth?

And with the no stitch boxes I just don't even worry about those?

(Again, such a newb at this! )
