Hoodie
Help. I am working on a hoodie where the hood is picked up along the neck edge, knit back and forth, then sewn along a straight seam at the top. This creates a point which I do not want. I would like a rounded hood without a point. Not sure how to shape that. Do I create a heart shape near the top? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Welcome!
Yes, the top of a heart at the middle top of the hood would work. You'll need to bind off say, one stitch on each side for a few rows so that will mean working the sides one at a time or using two balls of yarn.

Thanks so much salmonmac. I suspected a heart shape would do it, but needed some confirmation. Have a good rest of the week.

As the question has been answered and I shouldn't be confusing the OP - Would it work to use short rows to shape the top of the hood and then use a 3-needle BO? I thoroughly dislike seaming and avoid it whenever I can.

Thanks, GG.
I like to avoid sewing, too. Three needle bind off would work for the final live sts and make a nice, neat seam at the top of the hood.
I'm not sure how to use short rows here. It's a bit like shaping a V-ncek on a sweater.
