Which Way ?

When I knit one purl one on row one do I do a purl stitch to begin the next row or do I do the knit stitch? A beginner. Thanks anyone.

What'cha knittin'? Are you doing rib or seed stitch. If you can link to your pattern that's helpful.

For rib, if it looks like a purl, purl it. If it looks like a knit, knit it. A purl stitch will have a bump, a knit won't.

For seed stitch you do the opposite.

And if you're not sure what the stitches look like, if you're working in rib and end with a purl, start with a knit. If you end with a knit, start with a purl.
