The place looks amazing, lots of hiking, rock climbing and winter sports going on. They have a good website with a lot of info. There's self catering accommodation to rent in the area, listed under Holiday Info. Go to xe.com for $ conversion.

butler - thank you for that second site ! I had only found the main Switzerland site and was only finding hotels, hostels, farms (sounds interesting) on there but not houses.

I still worry about the safety of travelling with the boys when they are so young and "hard of listening" as my father says. I tried looking at the TSA site yesterday and will have to give it another try....I am not very computer savy or patient.

Are you able to travel at the same time as your husband, as that would make it easier dealing with the boys if there's two of you, and the general "getting through the airport" stuff.

yes, we would be flying as a family. It's more the tourist time that I worry about b/c we would take a day and go to Milan, Zurich, etc. I worry anytime we take them into big crowds b/c it only takes a moment for me to get distracted and them to take off. They are not generally agreeable to being in the stroller....which I am not sure we can even fly with b/c it's a monster.
I worry anytime we travel with them and being overseas just makes me that much more jumpy. I'm such a "what-if" worry wart now it is hard to remember that when I was single I used to get an urge, get in my car and drive...to Texas (from NY) or NC or Maine (from VA) etc just to see and do something different.

Yes, I have been to Zurich and Grundelwald(Alpes). I went, when I was 8 and we went skiing!! It was a blast and the food was amazing!!
We stayed in hotels and B and B. We didn't know the German Language well but managed to get around without problems.
Take the boys and have fun...Unforgettable!!

Well, my parents have said they would like to travel with us !! This means my MIL will most likely go as well. That sort of makes it a no brainer that we will go. Now to find a house to rent and all the information about where to go and how to get there !!!

Someone mentioned swiss chocolate....I'm not a chocolate fan, however, I do love cheese and am very much looking forward to some real Fondue !!

I will have to make sure I have a small project OTN's that I can take with me and make sure to get my picture taken in front of their LYS.

Excellent! Safety in numbers, lol! That will help tremendously when you husband is at his conference, more hands and eyes to help with the boys.
