German sock heel turn
I stink when it comes to sock heel turns, both for crochet and knitting. I'm always on the lookout for a new one that's easy. I came across a heel turn for crochet socks on Youtube. It's by a German lady, Woolpedia. Beautiful crochet turn! I wondered if I could convert this to knitting. It worked beautifully, so I have to share it.
You'll work on half the sock stitches and let the others rest. Figure out what a third of those stitches would come out to. For example, if you have 60 stitches, you'd work on 30. A third of that would be ten stitches. Knit 20 stitches. Turn. Purl 10 stitches. Turn. Knit 12 stitches, turn. Purl 14 stitches. Turn. Knit 16 stitches. Turn. Purl 18. Keep going like this until you're back to your original 30 sts. Join the round and continue around on all 60. There were no holes and no gaps with this one.
Welsh corgis are cool.
