I am still working on a magic loop sock pattern and have a question about the foot decrease. Here is the section:
Round 1: K to last 3 stitches, b/4 marker, k2 tog. K1 = 13 st. Move marker K1, SSK (beg. of your instep) turn around
K to last 3 st, b/4 marker, K2 tog. K1 move marker (other side of instep) K1 SSK k to end (other side of heel)
Question is: After moving marker, says turn around, Do you turn and knit pass the marker you just moved and then knit to the other marker. It doesn't say to SL 1st b/4 you start knitting.
Thanks for the pattern link. Yes, this pattern with the error at the heel turn. I think that the "turn around" is either some unnecessary direction or another error. You're right that an actual turn will mess up the stockinette pattern. All you should be doing here is knitting in rounds with decreases in the 3sts either side of the markers. So yes, keep knitting the sts around the sock. Don't turn to the reverse side or knit back and forth here.
