Egads (to continue the topic I started in the sorting thread by Usamacka)....
I have stuff, lots and lots of yarn (non-wool mostly) but don't know hot to begin getting rid of it all. Was thinking of bringing a bagful to the Sally Ann but they just closed up shop. There's a re-cycle place at our local dump, but......sad to leave things there.
Mailing out stuff to far away places is costly (I'm in Ontario, Canada); plus it involves packaging....not my strong suit.
I would love it if someone would just drop by and take stuff away. But I'm somewhat of a hermit, so nobody drops in, ever.
Woodi, if I ever make it to your neck of the woods, I'll drop in...as long as you expect me and say it's OK. I'm not a dropper-inner kind of person. I'll bring some of my yarn and we can trade. That's not what you had in mind, is it?
Cheating is an option. . . . Cheaters never win and winners never cheat, but smart knitters who want to retain an iota of sanity do, cheerfully. ~~Kory Stamper
Woodi, what about a senior center or school art dept? Do you have a volunteer organization nearby, perhaps a group attached to a hospital, that makes handmade items? A quick search of the Lionbrand site turned up this organization which may or may not be nearby. http://www.angelhugs.ca/
