This pattern for lace-edged gloves is from a Louisa Harding book, Hats Glloves, Scarves: Easy Designer Knits for Family and Friends.
There's an errata sheet for the gloves:

"Classic Elegance (page 100) This one has incorrect brackets in the book.
Lace-Edged Glove Right Hand
Row 7 (inc): K1,(K2tog tbl, [yo,K1]5 times, yo, K2tog) 5 times, K1. (6sts)"7
That'll increase 20sts.
