cool thread!
Well, I've only read the last page here so far, never noticed this thread before since I was always eager to get into patterns and problems and stuff. I will be reading the rest, love to see all these lovely people here.

I love that dog! I love the emoticons !

I just have to put up pictures of my babies now that I've seen some of yours.

Oh, I'm in upstate New York also when I'm not in Manhattan.

A curious thing happened yesterday... I went into a bookstore in a mall to see their knitting book section.
This is Oneonta, New York. After searching for a long time, I finally found FOUR books way down at the bottom of a shelf in the corner. As I stood up I noticed the whole middle of the same bookshelf featured books with GUNS on the cover. Way more books on guns than knitting.
hmmmmmmmmmmm

Didn't mean to be rude...
I just realized that I never really introduced myself. I live in western New York, I recently returned to college after many years of helping my husband thru grad school. I am the mother of two girls, ages 5 and 15. Name a craft and I have probably tried it. My biggest love right now is knitting. I really enjoy reading about everyone's projects and lives along the way. This is a great group! :D

introductions!
Ahh, KellyK, vous parlez Francaise je vois. ? Oui, Mlle. Toisie est tres belle e Monsieur Paolo est Italiano... Paolo Tonnato (last name is tuna fish).

I didn't really introduce myself, I feel my cats are more interesting!

Pas très bien. Seulement un peu de l'école secondaire.

J'aime le nom, Paolo! Paolo always sounds like a "pool boy" or a "cabana boy", although Paolo Tunafish doesnt sound that way as much....

Welcome Pixie!
Jivewhistle, wow, that's a LOT of cigarettes you haven't smokes. Boy oh boy! They sure add up fast!!!! Congrats on becoming so much healthier and extending your life expectancy so dramatically!!

Victoise, your kitties are sooooo, charming. Love the big girl's bellie picture especially. Maybe I'll start a thread called "Pet pictures." It's not about knitting, but it's so fun to see everyone's kitties and doggies!
