My name is Quiara and I knit (and live) in Memphis, TN. I've never been much of a fan of the south (despite being related to most of it), but Memphis is my exception. I love it here! Don't ask me why; it's an intangible. But I've been here almost 4 years now and I love it quite a bit. It's where I learned to knit! Among other things. Anyhow, I'm thrilled to have found this forum. Everyone seems so friendly and knowledgeable and just flat out nice. Plus, where else can you find knitting emoticons??

Hi, Beth! I'm Quiara and I'm new here, too, but I absolutely love it. I'm (kind of) doing the seminary thing, too! Working on a masters in Old Testament and one in Counseling Therapy. I knit hats to donate, too! I love that knitting can be so socially conscious.

The videos and forum on this site are absolutely great! I just started knitting and am almost done with my second scarf--not sure how to finish either one off, but I'm going to my localo knitting shop on Saturday. Everyone here seems so helpful! I live in Morris, IL and am married with two boys, ages 3 and 4.

Hi all, I'm Christine and I've been lurking for a bit and have actually posted questions on the How-to already (thanks to all who helped!).

I've been knitting since July, and found this site while looking for knitting help sites. It's been so much help, thanks!

I'm 23 and an editorial assistant in NJ. They should really just call me "chief photocopier." It might be more accurate.

Hi! Wow, what a great site! It's been a couple of years since I did much knitting, and boy has the internet improved in that regard! Happy to find these forums. Got here via Amy's excellent videos.

I go by DarkEmerald, and I've been knitting a good long while. I learned in Europe and still have trouble with American needle sizes, 20 years later! I like sweaters--wish I looked better in 'em. Am currently working on that cool Pinwheel Sweater over at Elann.com.

yeah, I agree.. I love that website here.. I always come here for hellp and info etc.

I m from Georgia,, artist, wife, mother to two young girls. I loved knitting, pottery, painting, photography..

I love knitting socks specifically.. sometimes hats, and sweaters. I have no patience w/ blankets. ha ha. it took so forever. I like to make weird things like pager cover, headband.. etc.

Hi, I'm new to this site and have found it very very helpful in my journey to teach myself knitting.
I'm a 38 yo wife and mother to 3 children.

I have chosen to learn continental style and like it thus far.
I have been crocheting for almost a year and havent' made anything other than scarves, so i'm new at it also.
I also enjoy making jewelry.
