Hi everyone - I'm Lisa. I just taught myself how to knit last November, so I've been learning for a year now. I've done a few scarves, but now I've begun two blankets - a spring one for me and a baby blanket for a friend. I also just started a pair of wristwarmers.

Hello, I'm JC. I've been knitting for about a year and a half. I like to knit small things because I get enthusiastic about too many projects at once. So, lots of purses and mittens and such.

I am a San Jose Sharks fan (hence my username) and I knit during the game intermissions to keep from dying of boredom (though watching the Zamboni go round and round can be hypnotic).

Newbie Here
Hi Everyone

First off I have to say what a lifesaver this website is. I had just recently started knitting and was having problems. I found this website and watched one of the videos and what do you know. It helped me fix my problem. I just made a great looking swatch. I look forward to speaking to you all, and would like to thank Amy for the website.

Talk to ya soon,

Hi all.

I'm Amanda, and not all that new to knitting, but new to some of the more complicated stitches that Amy has so graciously mades videos of!

I'm 29, from Toronto, mum to Grant who is going to be 11 on Sunday (shocking!) and I work in politics. So knitting & crocheting (to which I am new) is a good way to settle in the evening.

Look forward to chatting with you all and learning lots of new stuff!

My First Sweater
I am in the process of knitting my first sweater. So far after the back and begining of the fron it is going ok. But, some of the upcoming instructions are not clear. I look forward to being able to ask for help when I need it. I think I will be able to get help here.
Thanks.

Hello Everyone
My name is Molly. I am a physician and still at work at age 64. I knitted years ago and recently started anew. I am working on my first sweater.
This appears to be a forum made for learning and I look forward to spending time here.

Hi I'm new here
I am a new knitter. I just knitted my very first thing with the the help of your nifty videos and instructions. I made the North Country socks. It took me three days to make one sock (because I started out with a different free pattern that had a lot of mistakes in it, before I found your site). It also took me three days because my dd, my first, is 9 months old and teething. Thank you for maintaining this site it's fabulous!
