Hi, My name is Tracy and I'm from Texas. My grandmother tried to show me how to knit when I was a girl, but it didn't stick. I have gotten started using Amy's videos. I am interested in spinning and weaving too. I have cross-stitched and done other needlework for years. I also scrapbook. I have only learned to cast on, knit, and purl so far, and I'm practicing making my stitches even. I've tried binding off once, not too successfully, as I forgot to finish the last stitch...not sure how to do theat yet

Hi, my name is Marina; I have a husband and a baby girl, and that's all I'm gonna say! When I was seven years old, my sister five and my brother 4, when my mom would sit down to knit, we would ask for needles and "knit" with her. A couple of years later, I dropped knitting and picked it up again a couple of weeks ago. So far I remember most of what I learned, but like ysabell616, I still can't figure out what to do with the last stitch after binding off.
Anyway, this is a great website and a wonderful forum. Everyone is so friendly! Keep it up ladies, I hope I fit in too!
-Peace

Never mind, I figured it out!
"When all stitches in the row have been bound off, cut a tail at least 4" long (or as long as the pattern specifies) and pull this tail through the last stitch, pulling to secure the work."

New 2 Knitting
Hi,,, My name is Dina and I'm quite new to knitting and was thrilled to find this awesome website :teehee: , it really helped me alot to get professional on some techniques. In Egypt we only use the English method, but from this site I learned about the international method and i really prefer it to ours.
Anybody from egypt or the middleast, give me five...
