Weeeellll, now I feel left out! I've been posting to this site for more than a year, but I think I got so caught up in getting questions answered that I never DID introduce myself!

So here I am. I'm an almost-3-year-old SAHM. My twin boys are 4 years old now, and while they keep me busy, I've always had plenty of time to sew, upholster, replace my name it!

The truth is that I'm too dumb to know when something should be "too hard" for me, so last time I got real and truly bored, I decided to take up knitting! I bought yarn and needles to make a sweater for my unborn niece...who was 2 weeks from her due date! With amazing help from the videos and everyone here, I managed to finish it--lace pattern and all--on the day she was born. And I've been an addict ever since.

Big hugs and kisses to all of you for being so supportive and kind and encouraging! I know I still need help sometimes, and you all are wonderful.

ETA: I'm almost THIRTY, not THREE!!!
Recently finished:
*Dream Swatch in Madil Eden Bamboo
On the needles:
*Isabella from Spring Knitty
*Striped hoodie from Nursery Knits
*Tomato from Knitting Daily
I'm hunterjenn on Ravelry. Come find me!

Hi y'all!
I was sooo excited when I found this site! My name is Brenda, and I'm a thirty-something housewife and mom to an 11 year-old son. I've been knitting, off and on, for 16 (16!?!) years, and can generally be found with at least 3 projects going at once . Lookin' forward to stitchin' with y'all. xxx

Hello! Happy New Year
I found this site while looking for a deal on Denise needles (I've since purchased the rainbow ones!) after Christmas because I received cash from my DBF!!! I'm hooked on this site and in the last few days, I'm hooked on continental knitting! I started knitting when I was young, my grandmother taught me (God rest her soul) and I've been knitting and crocheting (That was from my Nana!) ever since with a few breaks....I have fibromyalgia and have pretty much dropped the crocheting because my wrist can't take the motion. When I went through the tutorials on continental knitting I was estatic! I can scoop and loop and it looks much nicer and goes a lot quicker than my American way. My shoulder is killing me because I find myself with a death grip on the right needle but I'm working through that!!!!!! I'm so looking forward to this site, I even did the Holiday KAL yesterday to "test" my new skills and it came out beautiful.. Now back to my mobius cowl and waiting anxiously for new needles and yarn that I purchased on ebay...handspun mohair, angora and all I have to do is find a top down cardigan pattern for larger women. Have a great day! Theresa from the Tug Hill in New York!
It's all good!

Hello everyone. I am so pleased to have been able to find this knitting forum, as I am going to need all the help I can get. I've been knitting for a year now but I have only ever done tiny dolls bags and rag dolls.

Now I want to take my knitting to the next step and learn how to knit socks, gloves, sweaters & Ponchos. I look at knitting patterns and think what the??

So I have printed off some lessons I found on the net to try and help me.
I am sure I'll be asking you guys lots of questions.

A little about me, I'm 35. I live in the UK, I'm married and we have 3 boys, 17, 16 & 10. If I'm not knitting I'm usually reading. I also do a little oil painting and like to watch movies and listen to music.

Hi, I'm toggle.

I'm a SAHM who likes to knit and cook and aviod cleaning and other horrible stuff.

I've been knitting on and off for over 20 years and I've decided to improve my skills as a knitter and begin to publish some of my own designs

Ok, here's an attempt at introducing myself.

I'm a lifelong crafter, and just learned how to knit a year ago. I have become completely obsessed with the fiber arts, and I think knitting (and potentially spinning) is my new passion. It has taken over my creative life.
