My name's April - very new knitter. I started just a couple of months ago and am currently on my second project. I'm a single mom, two girls, and we live in L.A. I never thought of myself before as someone who would enjoy knitting. I started because my 9-year-old daughter wanted to learn so I went to a class for me to learn how to teach her. She's still not knitting regularly, but I am nearly every day! Thanks to Amy and everyone else here. Looking forward to being a part of this community.

I`m new to the list and I want to say first, I love wool since my childhood, I like knitting, felting, free stitching, handdyeing my own yarns and wool....and I`m very happy to find this list!
The "one-row-buttonholes"-video is one of my highlights, I`ve knitted the moebius-wrap from wollmeise.blogspot.com, it`s great!
Now, I`m surching for a lace-pattern, to knit a raglan-pullover, top-down with a big neckline for summer, anyone help me?? I`m not sure, how it works....

Marion, there is a forum here called Pattern Central that will help you with finding a good pattern for that sweater. I copied your post and put it there. Go have a look to see if anyone has any ideas for you.

i am sorry that i didnt introduce my self right away
i am really new to the computer and new to blogging on forums
i am a grandmother
i live in toronto canada
i love to knit and crochet
i do a lot of charity afghans and hats etc.
just bought the ultimate sweater machine
not to knit sweaters because i knit in the round
but i wanted to make afghans and scarfs for charity
and guess what i cant get started on it
the carriage jams
i am going for a lesson or 2 next thursday
hate it when they dont proved proper instructions
lets see
thats about it
oh and i dont knit for my grandaughters
because if it hasnt got a label from the gap
they wont wear it
the littlest is 6 and loves whatever i make for her

she will get anything she wants from me

Hi! I'm a new member to you site, and am hoping I can find some instruction for adding beads to the socks I'm knitting. I'm taking a class, but can't remember how to place the pre-strung beads -- my teacher does not use a crochet hook, and I don't remember her slipping a stitch, either.
