Hi all,

I found this website researching a school project.

I'm an experienced seamstress/tailor/designer and a novice knitter, so the research benefited me also...

Hoping to learn lots with what little spare time I have. :(

Thanks for setting up this website, it is simply impressive.

Wonderful forum
Hi, I'm Heather from WV, have been knitting for just a few days over a year now but am hooked. I'm just finishing up my third pair of socks and am busy collecting and building my stash-I can't knit from my stash yet because there is hardly any yarn in it! I have yet to knit an entire sweater but have done several scarves and some wrist warmers. Looking forward to learning from this great bunch of knitters.

Hello!
Hi all - my name is Wanda and I found this forum a couple of weeks ago. Life is hectic right now so I don't know how often I'll be able to check back, but I certainly love what I see already! My mom taught me to crochet when I was 7 or 8 and I've enjoyed that on and off throughout the years. I tried to learn knitting a few years ago and just couldn't get it for the life of me. I returned to my hook and enjoyed working on projects for about another year before picking up my needles once again. It really bugged me that I let it beat me, ya know? LOL Anyway, after lots of practice (wash and dish cloths), swearing, frogging, etc. I was finally beginning to feel more comfortable with it. I've since made knit felted purses and bags, scarves, afghans, etc. Lace knitting is on my to do list, but I haven't actually started a project yet. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing projects.

Hello !
HI there, I am in West Yorkshire in England, and was told about the site by a friend who has just found this site (enthusiastic beginner!) I knitted quite a while ago when my kids were small, but have started knitting again after my daughter found out she was expecting her first baby, (my husband is complaining about 'woolley cough lol!) I have knitted mainly baby stuff, but had a go at a jumper which didn't come out so well, but the last thing I knitted was a teddy which I am quite pleased with, also have on the go a shaker style throw, for my grandaughter, different squares, and am embroidering the alphabet on it.
I am 52 this year, married with 2 grown up kids, son 32 and daughter 30 this year, have 3 g/kids from my son, and a grandaughter expected in September, and 2 stepsons and 2 step-grandaughters.I work as a lunchtime supervisor at the local school, 3 days a week
