Welcome everyone. We're glad you "came in from the cold"
I just saw Yarn Harlot last night. She was wonderful and well worth the effort to get there.

Introducing...
Hi,

I was surprised to see the message that I had never posted to the forum before (thought I had .

I've been knitting for just over a year now. Some of the first items I made were placed in the donation box, because I just couldn't bear to throw that much work away. Poor yarn choice, lack of experience, etc. just led to items that were just unwearable for me. Had more luck when knitting for others.

I love this craft! KIP at any opportunity. Currently only have one WIP and I'm really struggling with it (Knitpicks bow tie pattern for my DH). Size 1 needles, fine yarn (KnitPicks Palette), and the shaping. Whew! If it's not done by Father's Day, maybe I can shoot for Christmas!

new
Hi-
I'm new to the knitting forum. Hello out there. I'm a beginner, of course and was so glad to find the simple videos on cast on, purl & knit - I couldn't remember anything from when I started 2 years ago. Why? I got married and had a baby, so I didn't touch the knitting till now! I'm starting with a little pirate for my 14 month old. Hope I finish by the time he's 2!

Hi, I'm new here, too. I've checked out a few of the videos in my still-young knitting life, but hadn't had a chance to read the forums until the past few days. Everything and everyone is so helpful!

I have a yarn store that I am already nearly at home with, went tonight after work to knit a couple of hours. I'm very much a beginner. Have finished one halter top for one of my girls (age 4), have started a cupcake from One Skein, have a felted purse started, and, of course, the dishcloth I very first started on and still haven't finished. I have to make another halter top asap so the girls can wear them. Next I'm going to start a cute cap for the girls from the Handknits for Kids book.
