Hello,

My name is Stacy. I have been lurking for a few weeks and today I had a question on one forum, so I thought I better come back here and officially introduce myself.

I began knitting on April 4, 2005. I was off of work due to surgery; a craft store was having a free class, so I thought it would be a good thing to try while I was recovering. Well...I am hooked, or as my husband would say I have become obsessed. :D I have read everything I can get my hands on. Searched the internet like crazy, and have found THREE yarn stores I can go to in the area. I was surprised by that because we live in a very small town in Kentucky.

So far I have made four scarves and 8 dishcloths. I love to make dishcloths. I am taking a class on Tuesday at the LYS to learn to make a hat. I was going to sign up for the beginners class, but when I went back with some of my dishcloths she changed me into the hat class.

I am a special education teacher at the local high school. I don't go to the lounge any more for lunch. I sit in my room and knit or read these boards. I have learned so much from this site. THANKS!!

I better run, the bell is going to ring and I am only half finished with my salad.

Greetings all,

Have been visiting the site whenever I needed a demonstration of how to do something. I'm a fair beginner at this point in time. Though I taught myself, from books mainly, how to knit, I think I'm starting to get the hang of this hobby. I've gotten to the point where my wife has asked me to teach her how. At this point, am working on an afghan, and a sundress pattern I saw out of Interweave knitting. So plenty to keep me busy, but I look forward to sharing with everybody, and learning as I go.

Actually, no, but psychology is another hobby of mine, amongst computers, games, and knitting (new addiction).
