I'm still fairly new to knitting but have used this web site for quite some time for all the helpful videos. I just discovered the forum. Right now I am knitting lace and love it.

Hello. I'm a knitter of three years--especially the past year since I broke my arm bicycling and the PT said to start my knitting again. I'm a SAHM with two future deliquents, two very large, hairy dogs and a hubby who likes my knitting b/c there's no fighting over the remote control. I'm in between Athens and Atlanta in Georgia. Check out my blog--I just posted a couple of very easy patterns. www.hissyknit.blogspot.com

New to the Forum
Hello everyone. I am new to the forum but not the website. I have been knitting for a year and a half. I didn't even know that there was a forum here. Right now I am knitting socks because I can commute with them. I would love to learn how to knit lace.

My first post - and questions
Greetings. I must fess up that I signed up because I'm having problems and need help. I haven't posted anywhere in years and don't really know the rules of the road. I apologize ahead of time if I'm out of step.

I've been knitting off and on for several years now, but I just tried my first sock pattern. I can't even get off the ground! I'm using four dpn and begin with a K1P1 rib for 1.5 inches. Then, I switch to K all. Everytime I do, the K is on the inside and the P on the outside; I'm knitting inside out. Is this right? If not, any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I've been to two shops and they haven't been able to help. I've ripped out at least five times and am about to toss the whole thing!

Thanks!

Hi Bluedevil. Wecome to the forum. It sounds like you are knitting inside out which, believe it or not is a common problem.
Silver has a really good tutorial.

Amy has a good video here.
