Greetings!
Hi everyone,

My name is Patrizia and this is my very first post, but still feeling my way around. I'm sure this will be a great forum with lots of lovely crafters!

I've been knitting a little over 20 years, mostly sweaters / summer tops and started knitting socks about a year ago.

I also have a couple of free sweater patterns on my blog should anybody be interested.

Cheers!

Hello Everyone,
I have been on here before, but have always lingered in the backround checking out everyone elses posts and progress. I have decided to stop being a wall flower and join in on the converstions going on in Knitting Help. Amy of love this website and the new updates. There are a lot of good resources for new knitters as well as well seasoned knitters. I am also a spinner and find the posts for spinning enlightening as well. I look forward to speaking with all of you at sometime. And thanks to all for this wonderful site because you all contribute to its wonder.

introducing myself!-hopefully...
Right-this is the 2nd time I've typed in this box and this time I hope I don't press the wrong key and loose the lot. infact to avoid super frustration I think I will keep this intro short until I know I'm doing it right!!

I'm a baby UK beginner to knitting and these forum/bloggy things and have spent about an hour trying to work out how to post -let alone where!!

I don't have access to anyone nearby to help me with learning knitting so I'm hoping when I get totally stuck on the simplest part of whatever my project is, that some kind person here might be able to help me and thus stop me giving up forever in a total tizzy!!

here's hoping I've done this bit right so far...!!!

Help!
Hi everyone. I have this site in my favorite lists and use the videos all the time. What a find for a visual learner! Anyway, my predicament is this:

I'm making a tank top and the pattern says at the beginning of the next row to switch from #7 needles to #6 circular needles and "using the #6 needles, CO 30 sts, p across bodice sts (the sts that were on the #7 needles), CO 30 sts. The only way I know how to increase by casting on is the single cast on and it doesn't seem to work here.
I'm so confused... This is the first thing that I've attempted that is not square or a rectangle.
