I love this place!
Hello all-

I am a fellow knitter in the eastern part of good old Wisconsin! I actually got interested in learning how to knit from one of my students, and the rest, as they say, is history. Now I find myself not being able to get enough of it! My husband thinks that I am an addict...maybe I am....hmmmm. Oh well, it keeps me out of trouble. I am very excited to be apart of this awesome community!

Keep those needles clicking!
Take care,
Karrie

Joyful Knitter!
Hello!

I am SO happy I found this site!! I've taught myself to knit thanks to the amazing videos here, and have completed a few boring scarves. I'm currently working on a simple shawl, but am starting to get the knitter's itch to try something a bit more difficult.

I'm a mom to two amazing kids, an almost 11 year old son, and 6 year old daughter.

I can't wait to start meeting everyone, and improve my knitting skills so I can start sharing photos of my FOs!

Take care!
Joy

So glad to find KnittingHelp
Hi there. I am new to knitting--I signed up for lessons years ago when I lived in Alaska--I was the only one who went back for the second lesson so the class was cancelled.
I finally got up the courage to try again--hopefully I'll be able to stick to it this time with the wonderful videos on here.
I want to knit socks so badly!!

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I learned to start knitting this weekend with my mom. I love the double cast on and took to it readily thanks to the video. I know this will be my cast on stitch. I learned to knit because my mother, future mother in law, and yes my better half all knit. Now I can join them and understand what they are working on.

Wow. Welcome to everyone. So many terrific people are joining. This is a really great place to learn to knit but also to keep your interest fresh. I don't know a better place to "meet" people from all around the world.

Newbie from Down under!
Hiho folks!

Alright, I must admit, im a horrible knitter xD But im here and willing to learn! I can knit things only of a rectangular shape, like scarfs. Not fancy scarfs mind you, not even a purl to be seen, hell, I dont even know how to purl .. or what one is for that matter lol!

Ok, so now you know that knitting wasnt my first craft, I suppose I should say that I am, in fact, a felter! *listens to the gasps of horror*

A felter from raw fiber that is, no knitting first then hot washing for me! But if I could actualy knit .. I would consider it xD

Anywho, please handle me with care as moving from felting to knitting is a huge and scary step, yet, hopefully exciting!

Cheers,
- Pud.
