Welcome, everyone! Come on in and have a cup of coffee. Or tea. Or whatever. I love that we have people from all over the world!

Thanks and I can't wait to get started on my next project.

Here are the ones that come to mind:
OTN = on the needles
WIP = work in progress
dh, ds, dd, dgd, dgs, = dear husband, son, daughter, grandson, etc
dil, sil,mil,fil = daughter-in-law, etc
IMHO = in my humble opinion
I'm sure others will add more.

Uh, hi.

The thingy said I should introduce myself here...

Hi there, in the Knitting world, I'm going by WolfSpider, because I love wolves and spiders are good at weaving with just one string so... here I am. ::Smiles::

I've started an LJ blog...to kind of keep track of my projects.

I've been knitting for years. My first project was a 12' long Dr. Who Scarf as a wedding present for my Husband. After that, I started a big fuzzy scarf for myself, and put down my needles, and promptly lost them.

Recently, my Co-Worker has gotten me into knitting again, and, I've gone great guns.

I've really gotten into it.

I"m kind of hoping to become part of the community somewhere like this. Somewhere that people can really appreciate my mutilated attempts at projects!

Glad to be here
I've known about this site for quite sometime now and because of this site I learned how to knit.

A little about me, I am a SAHM to 2 girls and when I get a smidge of freetime I love to knit (as well as other crafts). I have the best husband who not only loves the fact that I craft but supports my yarn (and fabric) addiction. I love to make things for my girls and also for others.

Glad I could be here! and nice to meet everyone!

*laughs* I have gotten that quite a few times. My grandmother (who is the reason why Im a knitter) lives up here, so I took an assignment so I can spend some time with here. Our elders are so precious, but a lot of times we don't get that figured out until it is too late!!

Hi all,

My name is Lynaire, and I'm a new knitter from Canberra, Australia.

So far I'm having heaps of fun, and I've made lots of little things practising different stitches. I've been knitting for about a month and so far I am able to knit, purl, knit with big needles, join and I've just taught myself the intarsia method (thanks for the video!). My next step is learning cables, knitting in the round and reversible knitting.

I'm looking forward to sharing my projects with everyone, as you seem a really friendly bunch

OMG, do you still have that pattern? My husband LOVES Dr. Who and I bet would get a BIG KICK out of it!

I'm a beginner here. I haven't even started my first project. I am still practicing casting on, and turning around (read my previous posts here and in the "How To Tips" forum).

Great to "meet" everyone, and as they say: Practice makes perfect!

I'm HERE!
Hello Everyone ... I am newly registered here and just wanted to say HI! ... I live in Central Florida (north of Orlando) and we don't have an organized "knitting group" in this area so I am desperate to find other knitters. I have registered with Ravelry (same name) but to be honest ... I find that site very confusing and difficult to find a common thread ...

Have been knitting for about 10 years (my husband would say non-stop ... lol) mostly with my black lab "Jake" at my feet.

Thanks for having me!
