Hello...
I am new to the forum and relatively new to knitting. I started knitting once I had a baby, stubbornly insisting on knitting my baby girl a sweater to start. I did it (with many restarts, and rip-outs) and fell deeply in love with knitting. I keep wanting to try knew things all the time, and I've learn many different things over the past five years.

Right now, I am focusing on socks and a blanket; I love single color work with lots of patterns.

Love the feeling of needles and yarn cradled in my fingers!

Hi from Northern NY
This is a terrfic site!!! I have told a few new knitter friends of mine about this place. The videos are amazingly helpful!!
My first knitting project was a pair of socks with double pointed needles. I didn't know any better, lol But, I didn't give up either.
I'm knitting my first lace scarf, in alpaca and I love it. I just finished a replica ww2 earmuff/headband for my 11 yr old son, who is a history buff. It kind of looks like a giant bra right now, til I sew the back together. I may felt it.

Howdy!
Just stopping by to say hello! I hale from Fort Worth, Texas. Been knitting about a year, crocheting for 22 years.

Lately, I find myself obsessed with both!

Love, love, love this site! It has gotten me out of a couple of knitting fixes. Can't wait to learn more!

Hey there, I agree! I only just started knitting at the end of september this year, so having the opportunity to get in contact with people who really know what they're doing is fantastic! So far I've learnt the basic knit and purl stitch and have made a few scarves for friends and am in the middle of making a european moss stitch scarf. Do you have any simple patterns I could follow?

Welcome to the forum!

When I was first learning to knit, I found a lot of simple patterns on the Lion Brand website. Their stuff is fun and simple. Just go to their website, and look for patterns, and search for "beginner" patterns.

Hi, my first time posting. I am so glad that I have found this site. The videos are awesome and it has been a quite a bit of help. I am teaching young girls to knit and this site helps me to finish what I start and if I have any questions I can ask everyone.
