Hello Everyone!
Greetings from NE PA !

Found this site while searching for some knitting help. This is a great resource!
I've been knitting off and on for about 40 years or so ... and am still learning ... I have made mostly small items, some sweaters, and now am working on a reversable cable afgan. Many thanks to MerigoldinWA for the help I needed with dropped cable sts.
I would like to try making socks, but have not had the nerve yet. I am all thumbs when it comes to circular knitting.
Hope to meet and chat with many of you in the future.

I started knitting about two years ago and just love it. So far I have done plenty of scarves and blankets, (used Homespun, which is forgiving.... love that yarn!) one set of wristwarmers (they came out uneven...LOL) and one baby sweater (didn't get the tension quite right, oh well). Can you see a running theme here....I am kind of hesitant to try something a little more involved. I know, I know, just keep knitting and I will eventually get better. As I'm going thru this site I can tell that I will definitely try projects that are a little more challenging knowing that if I have a problem I can get some help. Thank you for putting it all together and giving us the confidence that we can conquer any pattern with a little, okay, lots of help!
Valerie

What a great resource! I've been knitting off and on - mostly off- for years, even made a Kaffe Faccet (sp?) vest once. Now I just do dish cloths- you know, the ones you find a church bazaars ( I don't go to church so I have to make my own).
If I can just remember my password I may come back to chat again soon - ha, ha.

Love This Site!!!
Hi all. I've only been knitting for about 4 months and have learned so much from this site! All of the video files are amazing. I'm doing my first "in the round" this evening and the video was so helpful. Thanks for the easy explinations and the reassuring directions. It helps a lot!

Hi from a newbie
Hi, I'm a newbie from a small town in the midwest. I knit primarily shawls and capelets, which I probably wouldn't have worn in my native Los Angeles. I like to knit gifts for my friends and colleagues at the high school where I work. Knitting is my way of relaxing, and giving shawls is my way of thanking my friends for their support and friendship (my job is sometimes stressful). I'm currently working on a shawl for one of my friends, a special needs teacher.

Although I do a lot of knitting, I'm not adventurous, and I'm glad I found this forum. Now I have a place to ask questions and, hopefully, find answers!

Happy Knitting!
