Hi,

I've been loving this website for a long time now but I just registered for the forums the other day. I'm a single mom of 4 girls and started knitting the day I quit smoking. I haven't made a whole bunch of stuff, but I do love knitting and buying yarn LOL.

Right now I am working on a diaper soaker.

Thank you so much to the people who run this website.

Baby blankets are usually about 30 to 36 inches wide, and vary in length. You'll find lots of patterns for baby blankets here:

Silver has made a wonderful tutorial on how to knit socks with dpns or with circular needles. There are excellent descriptive photos as well. (Click links below)

Hi Everyone,
I'm so happy to be a member of knittinghelp.com. Just registered yesterday and am looking forward to meeting lots of fellow knitters. Just started knitting 3 or 4 months ago and am enjoying it immensely, but still need lots of help.

Good Evening Everyone!

I am brand new to this site and I really love all of the sharing. I've been knitting since I was about 8 years old and I'm 22 now so it's something that I love. I've never really found another group of people who enjoy knitting, but I'm glad that I have. I look forward to sharing as much as possible with everyone. Once again thank you for having me!

Love,

Lala

Hi!
This is my FIRST ever forum, yeah I know, I'm a little slow. But I couldn't resist, it looks so great....... so no more lurking behind the scenes for me, and hopefully no more tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to fix my mistakes! (Which is actually how I found this site) Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Just started felting projects & I think I'm addicted!

Hi, I'm Niki and a forty something year old living in Cheshire, UK. I've been a proper knitter since I was about 18 years old, before that it was just mainly Doctor Who scarves. I consider myself to be a competant knitter. I have subscribed to "Knitting" magazine for nearly 3 years now and find it a huge source of information. I used to collect patterns for fun and probably have well over 300 hundred stashed away somewhere.

I also know how to crochet (a dear friend of my Mothers taught me as a child) but have never been taught what the stitches were called or how to follow a pattern so I'm trying to teach myself at the moment. Which is also confusing as I am left handed and having great difficult in transferring the information into left-handedness. Items made when I was a child were things like throws, doilies (sp), tissue box covers, toilet roll covers, place mats and the like.

Sorry for waffling on. Anyway, I'd like to thank DQ for her constant nagging me into registering which I have now finally done. I've known her for about three years from another forum and we meet up whenever we can. :D

Please be gentle with me

Hi, I'm Liz. I've been knitting for oh, maybe a year off and on. Self taught, I've made several socks . I have crocheted since I was 9, but I like the smoother look of knitting. I'll need LOTS of help.
