Hi all! I'm 21 and a fairly new knitter (just started about a month and a half ago). I've finished a few square projects and now I'm working on my first fitted project: a sweater for my 24 month old niece Jorja. My 22 year old brother teases me constantly about my knitting, but I point out that my hobby (unlike his video games) is productive and he shuts up :D No sweater for him, I say!

I learned to knit courtesy of about.com and knittinghelp. I decided to check out the forum when I got stumped on my current project and found my answers quick and painlessly. I look forward to getting to know everyone

Matty, you'll get lots of help if you post this in the "How To" section of the forum.

Hello everyone!

My name's Mel and I have been knitting for about two years now. I absolutely love knitting! My freinds make fun of me for it and say I'm old before my time, but I don't care, it just proves my hobbies are far more interesting and creative then there's are, lol. Ilove this site, it has helped me out so many times and if I can be of any help to anyone then feel free to ask, although I do warn you, I'm no expert, lol x x

Thanks Shandeh!! I looked in every book I could find and couldn't get an answer! I will try that and now I hope I can make the pattern I really liked.

It is SO nice to know there are so many resources here on this site and from the people who post here.
