I have used this site for the past year, but had no idea until today that you could post messages. Cool! I have been knitting for the past 3 years after 20+ years of crocheting. I way prefer knitting to crocheting.

I live in Oklahoma and the weather is starting to get colder which is perfect for knitting. (I hope I am doing this right. If you see it, then I did!)

Wow! This is fun! Can't wait to see all the video's. 30 years ago I made afghans for 4 family members and then dropped my needles and never picked them up again... until two years ago at Christmas my sister gave me some ribbon yarn and a pattern and some needles and I thought it was the worst Christmas present ever. I ended up making a shawl instead of the sleeveless pull-over she recommended and I got hooked - made several little things, an ugly sweater, then a pretty sweater and some hats. Now OTN - forest green wool cardigan. Can't wait to finish. This is really looking good. My best work so far. Hope to hear what everyone else is doing.

Greetings
This site is a God send. Thank you so much for the reply.
I used to knit as a child, making simple things like scarves and blankets. A year ago, I completed my first turtleneck.. Yeah!
Now, I can't stop knitting. I am trying to infect all my friends with the knitting bug!!!

I'm currently trying to knit a blanket for a friend's baby who is due in January!

Oh, my username is the name of my two feline knitting helpers/destroyers

I am a novice selft-taught knitter, and found this site so useful to learn how to knit, in particular the videos.

Thank you very much for the information you provide!
