Hi. I'm Christi from southern Utah. I'm married to My Sweet Lover for 16 years. We have 8 kids. Ages 14 down to my 18month in a sling. I love having a large family, well kind of large, we're not the Duggars or anything. LOL But 8 is large enough for me.

I love gardening. Veggies, herbs and flowers. I have a huge garden this year. I'm in a rural area so my entire front yard and side yard are gardens with a floral hedge bordering the street. It's going to be great. Can't wait for sweet corn and salsa and pumpkins...

I'm not a big animal person, though we have chickens and a stray cat that adopted us. He's an outdoors-only cat. My kids are thrilled because I would have said no if they'd asked for a cat. I just have enough mess to clean up without having to think about cat hair on my furniture.

I've been knitting for about 9 years. I'm so totally serious when I say that knitting keeps me sane when nothing else can help the psycho-momma-hormones.

I like to feed my family on healthy fresh foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. Kind of a health nut. I also encourage my kiddos to use their minds and bodies in nature also. Which means lots or playing in nature and NOT in front of the video games/tv.

So, gracious me, that's probably more than anyone needed to know about me all in the first breath. Hope to see more of you all and get to know the regulars.

ETA:
I just saw that my post is #6523 So I'm not sure anyone will read this but if you did... Thanks.

New Here... Hoping I can meet people that can assist me along the way.
Hi, New here and new to the knitting world. My Grandmother was an avid knitter, however she was unable to teach me, by the time I was old enough and interested in knitting she was sick with Dementia. However, I have all her knitting supplies because I was the only one interested, have knitted a couple scarfs, teaching myself from books. Hoping between this website and people out there willing to assit I can become a knitter just like my grandmother and be able to make beautiful creations. So here it goes.

So glad I found you!
I am a brand new knitter, living in South Florida! I learned to knit about a month ago through the knitting group that meets twice a month at the church where I work. This website has been a wonderful help in my learning journey. The videos are fantastic!

I have 3 children, 2 step-children, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and one wonderful husband. I am a therapist in training and knitting is MY new therapy, along with counted cross-stitch.

I look forward to learning more through this site and the knitters here as well!

Hello. I'm I just decided to take up knitting so that I could make some scarves and blankets. I tried crocheting which is pretty easy but when you're a tense person like me you just end up with curly stuff.

I went to WallWorld and got the Learn How To Knit kit and some purple yarn. I have to say I'm better off watching someone else do it than trying to follow a diagram in a book.

I found this site while searching for how-to videos. I liked what I saw so I thought I'd register. I look forward to learning all about knitting.

Holly
