Hi I am from Lincolnshire in the Uk started knitting as a young child. Started again after a few years of not knitting last summer. Started again as had finished a course at college and had several months before starting degree so needed to occupy brain and hands otherwise the diet would fail( had lost three stone at that point) knitted two cardigans fir myself in six weeks then back to study. However have made two vowel types scarfs one for me then other for daughter after she saw mine. Knitted a soft toy monkey and started on lacy shawl . Other than sewing I make dance and dressing up costumes work full time teaching in a hospital and ballroom dance Streetdance and zumba

Hi my name is Gill and my gran taught me to knit as a child. Not knitted for years but as it's winter I decided to take it up again. Only trying very basic patterns at the moment! I live in Fethiye, Turkey with my husband, 2 dogs and a cat who thinks she is a dog

Hope somebody can help me with any questions I've got

Thanks

New to the forum
Hello everyone. My name is Louise. I am a Canadian living in Greece. Knitting is my hobby. Professionally I edit books and prepare programs for on-the-job training for small businesses. I try to challenge myself by trying to learn a new technique for each new knitting project. I find that co-learning works well in our training sessions so I believe that a knitting forum will help me improve my technique. It is nice to meet you all.

Hi
Hi, my handle is twilightreader, I'm 23, just learning to knit for the first time with the help of the videos here and a Learn to Knit CD I have. I hope to make one of the Christmas presents I'll be giving to everyone in my family this year. All my giftees live far enough away I can hide it easily. Thanks for the help!

What is the Linen Stitch
I just found The Knitting Help and love it. I have it on my IPad and my IPhone. I have been knitting several years but nothing very challenging until now. I am trying it with the help of you all. There is not any knitters in this part of Texas.
