Hello from Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada
Hello.
I'm just new to this site and wanted to say hi to all the crafters. I have been knitting and crocheting for over 30 years now and I love it.
Hope to make all kinds of crafting friends and look forward to displaying and seeing all of the items that have been made.

Hi all! New to the site--need help with what I believe is an error in a Debbie Bliss pattern. Went to her site, but no help there. Is this the correct place to seek help with a particular pattern? Am in Mexico for 6 months and have nowhere to go for help here! Adios

Here is her errata page

The individual books and patterns are listed so I hope this helps.

Help Please
I taught myself to knit this christmas, I'm really excited, I'm working on a "Fisherman's Rib Beret with Picot Brim" it's coming along great, except I'm getting close to the end. I'm in the k1 p1 rib of 4 rows on 5th row I'm to decrease, I've inserted a lifeline cuz I've tried several ways to decrease and it doesn't come out right. So Please help! Thank you very much

Hi Annette,

Its hard to tell exactly what is going on. If you give us the exact directions we might be able to be of more help. Also, your questions will be answered a lot quicker if you post in one of the sub forums. For instance, your question would be most appropriate in Pattern Central. Hope this helps, great to have you here.

Hello.
Hello all. I am a 23 year old ambulance dispatcher by night and a person who has no idea who to knit by day. I am mainly here looking to meet and get to know people with similar interests as me and to help me along in my journey of becoming a better knitter. I currently only have a few looms and a couple bundles of yarn and a hook and large plastic needle. What are some of the essential items I need and possible good online stores for these items?

Thank you and I am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Josh

Everyone here has similar interests. Basically you need 2 needles of the same size or a set of circular needles (2 needles connected by a cable) and smooth, light colored yarn

There are several posts about what essential items you need to start knitting.

Hello all!

Funny that the first post I would see in this thread would be someone from my neck of the woods. Hi Doreen! I'm also from Nova Scotia, just outside of Halifax though.

Nice to meet all of you.
