Hello everyone, my mother taught me to knit when I was 4yrs old and I was hooked! The first thing I ever knitted was a skirt for my doll.

My kids are all grown up and I recently started knitting again after a 10yr break. I stumbled upon this site while searching the web for patterns. I've had a quick look around, everyone seems very supportive and helpful. I'm happy to have found you all

KnitBKS' Intro
Hi, everyone!

My name is Brian. I go by Brian, Bri, or Bri Bri. I am a 25-year-old male knitter (26 in January) and live in West Virginia. I am Deaf with a hearing aid in the right ear. I am a self-taught knitter (thank goodness for YouTube and books) and have been knitting for less than a year but I am starting afresh. I've never really completed a project, but I hope my first scarf will be the first project I've completed. My wife's name is Laura and we have three furbabies (Lehi, Charcoal, and Rose).

I plan to take the MHK (TKGA) correspondence course beginning in the next month or so, hopefully. I would like to eventually become a CYC Certified Knitting Instructor as well as a knitting judge (through taking the Certification for Knitting Judges through TKGA).

I am preparing to attend college (online) to get my B.S. in Accounting and then my MBA to be able to become a licensed CPA. I would like to work for the state and get into internal audit to prepare me for my main goal: Forensic Accounting.

If you would like to know anything else, feel free to ask.

Welcome Brian! Sounds like you're going to be one busy guy! I know about forensics and accounting, but never heard of forensic accounting! Sounds interesting!

Yeah, I didn't either. Forensic accounting is when there is a lawsuit and you are tasked to find what has been done with the money. Then you present your findings in court.

Well, welcome Brian. You provide your own unique perspective and we're glad you're here! (And glad you have time to knit.)

Thanks, salmonmac.

I will definitely keep y'all posted on what I learn. I don't think I have any Forensic courses in my B.S. but I know I will when I go into my Master's of Accountancy after my MBA and CPA. At least that is what my six year goal consists of in education.
