Hello from Ireland
Hi,
I was looking for a website just like this a couple of weeks ago. I am not a new knitter but I stick to the basics. I couldn't figure out a stitch pattern but my mother came to the rescue - I still haven't started that project after getting so frustrated. My current passion is knitting socks.
My 13 year old daughter has learned to knit as well. I finally got her working on a project that I think she may finish...a pair of gloves.

Stephanie.

New Knitter in Boone, NC
Hey there! I'm a new knitter for just over a month now. This website and ravelry have been essential in teaching myself to knit. My first project was a basket weave hat done with magic loop and my second a little cable knit headband with a flower. I'm working on another headband at the moment with plans to jump into a hat that I'm designing myself that includes intarsia in-the-round and different colored cables that spiral around and narrow for crown.

Hello. My name is LadyofBlades. I have wanted to knit for a while so last week I picked up a beginner's kit with book and tried it out. I have only just learned the basic knit stitch...sort of, lol. I am really enjoying it though and can't wait to practice. Tonight, I am going to try my first purl.

....hi.
I started knitting in high school but all very basic stuff. Wanting to make some memorable gifts for my friends before I leave for the Navy so I'm knitting nerdy gifts for them. I am understandably overwhelmed by how difficult it is.
