I am in the UK and love knitting and crafting perse. I stumbled on this site looking for help with a difficult Raglan/Front edge that I am struggling with. Unfortunately the pattern is very verbose and there is half a page of complicated instructions. duh...
I am going to try a graph to see if I can sort it out.. but I may just have to bite the bullet and type it all out and beg for help...
Oh and a bit about me..
I am a mad crafter, I love making cards (stamping) but that seems to be fading out a bit in the UK, I love knitting and have many many items over the years, I(never thought I would struggle with a pattern) I also love cooking and baking (but am currently dieting...)
I have two grown up children and I work 4 days a week.
Also have a mental cat called Lulu.
Coming up to a milestone birthday... happy.. or sad.. hmmm
Today the sun is shining in rainy UK whoo hoo
The coffee and cupcakes are on me
reality is an illusion created by lack of alcohol
Hi sudenim and welcome to KH! We're glad to have your experience here too.
It's good to do a challenging pattern. You're definitely learning from it. If you come to a full stop, everyone here is happy to try to help (don't give us the full pattern though, just the relevant part because of copyright issues). We have experience with mental cats here too though I'm not sure that there's much to be done about them.
Hi, sudenim, great name, wish I'd thought of it! Just don't knit a straight jacket and try to put it on the mental cat, and you should do OK. Glad you have sun, we don't, here on the Pacific Coast in Washington state.
You can't knit the left sock first. Ever.

This website is great and I am sure it will help me a lot. I just started knitting and enjoying it although it can be quite confusing to read patterns now and then, which is why I'll have loads of questions for you guys :-)
A little about me: I am 24 years old and have a 10 month old son. Started knitting again as I needed to do something for me again. A little hobby to keep me sane :-) And why not make something for the little man in the meantime.
I'm looking forward to chatting to some of you and getting some help.
Hi, MrsNovy. Welcome to the forums. It's really great how knitting is something for you and you make something for someone else at the same time! There's lots of help here. We do sometimes get a bit chatty too. Go ask a question!
OK so I forgot to introduce my self I am a 39 year old stay at home mom to three boys ages 20, 8, and 7. I learned to knit and crochet when I was 9. I mostly crocheted for the past 30 years. Never really got into knitting all that much until now. I am like obsessed with it. I have an online shop on Etsy where I sell mostly crocheted baby shoes. I am constantly busy with orders. So I really don't get a chance to knit as much as I would like to. Hopefully I will be caught up and I can spend more time knitting. I have to use up some of this yarn I have. I almost have a yarn store in my dining room My husband thinks I am a hoarder. You can never have enough yarn right?
Hi Artchic and welcome to KH! Take a look at the video for the knit stitch and see if it helps. There are at least a couple of ways to do it and you can find one that feels more comfortable to you.
Welcome too, HeathersHobbies. Yes, never enough yarn, that fits right in here with us enablers. Watch out when the yarn starts to take over the dining room table however.
Glad to have you both join us. Questions, answers and comments welcome.
