Oh! Well how neat is that. I thought I was just using English method? when the book I bought told me to put the working yarn in my right hand, I thought it meant the whole needle...no wonder it's easier.

Thanks so much for clarifying, I'm so happy to be here. You all seem so very nice.

Hi Linda, welcome! This is the introduction thread. Post in the correct forum and you'll get more replies. I suggest the general forum for this question.

Hello everyone!

I was looking for a place online where I can just simply express myself about anything in relation to knitting. I am interested in this art and appreciates the benefits that it gives. I am lucky to find this site. It's totally wonderful to be here. I am just new but I am looking forward to knowing each and everyone of you better.

Checking in here. Thanks to Amy for the original videos which got me started a few years back. Since then I've been knitting up socks for my skiing and scuba diving habits - yes we wear socks in the wet - alpaca wool is a wonderful thing. And surprise, I'm a total gear head, beer drinking guy. I think I'm going to tackle gloves next...! Cheers Ladies!

Glad to have you join us! Those knitting videos are a wonderful launching pad. And good to know about the scuba socks too.
