Increasing
My knitting directions state: [K10. Inc 1 st in next st] 3 times. Exactly what does this mean? Do I increase when I knit the 10 or do I make that 11th stiitch the increase?

Just do everything in the brackets three times.
K10, inc in next st; K10, inc in next st; K10, inc in next stitch.
