Colleges/Schools which give Handknitting Degrees?
My 15 yo daughter is very interested in pursuing some sort of degree or diploma in handknitting/knitwear design. I have seen a lot of Textiles Schools and Fiber Arts - but are there any which are specific to Knitting and Crochet Design?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Lauri!

Hmmm, maybe she could go to Meg Swansen's knitting camp in July! I'll probably be there myself!

There's also TKGA's knitting levels master classes, or whatever they call them. (TKGA = The Knitter's Guild Association, I think). www.tkga.com I think those are guidelines for getting educated elsewhere, not really an educational program that they offer themselves...?...but I could be wrong, I don't know much about it!

If you do talk to Meg Swansen (www.schoolhousepress.com), she knows everything and everybody knitting, and she's SUPER nice. She may be able to point you in the right direction!
