love that sweater color, Julie! Mer, your purse looks great!

As a side not, i love all the posts on here, I've just been lazy with responding, and since I don't have a digi cam to post my own stuff i'm feeling unvalidated (my problem, not you all's!) :|

Gardenia, I agree, nice even stitchwork on that hat! Way to go, looks great. Julie, nice work!! Mer, nice bag!

KellyK what a cutie-pie niece you have! Oh yeah, nice knitting there, too. I'm very into the nieces and nephews. That's where I get my kid-fix too.

pillow, scarf and knitting needles
I just finished these projects for my sisters' April birthdays. I am the oldest so I know what is best for them. They NEED to learn how to knit. So, made matching knitting needles . I wrote go to knittinghelp.com on the back of the gift card (it matches too) with a promise to help them when we get together this summer.

This was also supposed to be a pillow ... but it was to small for any of the ready made pillow forms .... now it is a needle holder!

Omigosh, that's the neatest thing I've seen in ages! Did you come up with that idea (decorating the needles) yourself? I'd be thrilled to receive a gift such as that, and I bet your sisters will, too. You are so talented and creative!!! :D
