Scarf Yarn Equation
Here is a scarf yarn amount equation that I got from my ill-fated trip to the Knit Picks store (read more here http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/for...t=503&start=15):

"Multiply the width of the scarf you want by the length you want, then by the gage on the yarn label, by 6. Then divide that number by 36 to find how many yard of yarn you will need to make a scarf. "

I haven't tried it, but it seems simple enough! [/url]
