Summer Tank KAL (was Mud Flap Girl) - Page 10

The tank is from Family Circle Easy Knitting Summer 2004. It's just bands of garter and stockinette. The pattern doesn't have shaping in the waist, but I think that the band of stockinette around the waist fools the eye to give it more shape than it has. I can't wait til it's finished. I'm hoping it fits me.

The yarn is Plymouth's Fantasy Naturale. It's a cabled cotton and it's great to work with.

I would love to join if it's not too late. I just started knitting an Asana-inspired top off of my failed Tempting, which I am unraveling and using like a ball of yarn. I'm doing it in Grey Wool-Ease, and the straps in either baby pink or lighter grey.

I am going to attempt to knit it completely in the round without the slits in the back. So far, I have 10 rows of garter ribbing. I'm excited about doing the shaping.

Your tops are all wonderful. I especially love Mer's Lelah - seriously awesome job.

My tank is going really well; I'm in the thick of the bodice work at the moment. I've been knitting pretty much all day (with plenty of coffee) and the stockinette rows are just flying. I hope to finish soon because I am going to knit my mom the Shapely tank and Shelley's Lace Cardigan for her birthday early next month, so I'll need plenty of time to do that.

I'm done! I'm done, I'm done, I'm done! It is really nice. Even the finishing went well. It's really pretty (pics later). I just don't think it looks good on me. :rollseyes: I'll have to see. I wore it today, anyway. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

Well, I finished my summer tank top and have started on Shapely. Here are some pictures. As you can see, I added some eyelets. Also, I had to use a serger to take it in a few inches because it turned out too big. I'm quite pleased with the result
