I'm in! I'm either doing Lelah or the yarn girl tanks (or both)!

Hey, where is everyone? Are you all ready to start your summer tops? Tomorrow is May 1st, after all. And for those of you who cheated and started early, how's your progress? I am almost done with my Lelah and once that is done will start a swatch for my yarn girl tank. I'll be sure to post a picture soon! :XX:

Yes, I started my tank, in between everything else, I have about 2 inches of garter stitch done. The pattern says to make it in two pieces, but I'm doing it in the round. It's just bands of garter and stockinette, done in squares with a little armhole shaping then sewn together at sides and shoulders. It has a boatneck effect. So I am going to avoid most of the seaming by working on a circ. These are my last few days of school, so I will work harder on it at the end of this week! OOOH, I checked out a digicam from the IT department, I should take a picture of it. I'll do that later. Can't wait to see everyone's stuff!

I'm here! I am one of the ones who cheated and started early. Hee hee. You can look at my blog and see the sad story of how I ended up frogging about 4 inches. I am knitting "chickami" in a beautiful, pink cotton. I guess I'm halfway done now. I will take a photo soon.

What is everyone else doing? I think we need to go hunt down Nuno -- seems she's having motivation problems. Hi Nuno!

I'm looking forward to hearing about everyone else's projects.

Awwwww I are loved

I think I am going modify the Cleo tank and take the lace out and just rib it. I think that could work

Ok, so my Lelah is done except for the elastic I need to sew into the top--I guess technically it isn't a tank top, but close enough!

I started the other tank, and it seems to be going pretty slow. The ribbon yarn isn't too hard to use, just a little stickier, or something. But I'm using big needles, so I hope that will speed things along!

I'll try to take some pics when I get home tonight. :D

I'm late! I'm still finishing my hooded poncho. I'm trying to not have too many projects open at one time (OK...and I was also hoping to lose more weight before I knit myself an arm-bearing tank top !)

Any advice on a good, non-wool (allergic :( ) yarn to use for the tank?

Holly

Here's my Lelah! I think it qualifies for the tank KAL, it's just strapless! I'm pretty happy with it. Now on to my next tank top! :XX:

How about a cotton/acrylic blend? Nice and light for summer! I've heard that cotton ease (lion brand) is being discontinued, but there are others out there.
