Needles came
Yesterday without much stalking of the mail carrier!!! Oh my gawsh! I am here to tell you that the Addis are MARVELOUS!!! Of course I couldn't wait to use them so I transferred DDs sock to the addis. They are a dream. I love them as much as my bamboo needles. If you're afraid of Addi Turbos as I was, don't be any longer. They don't have the same "cold, slippery" feel the aluminum have. Comfortable to hold, smooth needles, smooth cable attachment make for very very fast knitting. Even the joins on my socks are neater. Go for them.

:XX: :XX: :XX: Addi Turbos!!!

I'm at that point where I'm ready to start adding needles. I may order either the Boye or Denise interchangeables in the near future, so I don't wish to order too many circulars, but I would like to order some 16" circulars (which aren't included in the interchangeable sets). I also need to order some dpn's.

We went to the metroplex on Wednesday to pick up a vehicle we bought. I didn't want to make my dh and son (who went along to drive it back for us) wait while I looked for a JoAnn's Fabrics or even a yarn shop. We did pass a Michael's, though, so I got them to wait while I ran inside, thinking I'd be able to buy the 16" circ's and dpn's I'm wanting. I was so disappointed to find that they didn't have either of those. :crying:

So, since I cannot get them locally, ordering, it will have to be! I said all that to say, where'd you order your new needles from?

I got them on Ebay from the seller Jeff.Wonderland (Your Wonderland) they were $6.50 each plus $1.50 shipping. You can't get a better price on addis than that; and the shipping was FAAAASSSSTTT!

Yeah, it is really darned hard to find 16" circulars! I've been watching ebay for weeks. JeffWonderland's prices seem a little high right now but maybe not. I really want to try the Addis too. Glad you posted your opinion!

Wow, great price! I have one pair of 16" Addi's. They're a dream. Truly the ultimate pleasure in knitting. I prefer my Boyes for the compact portability of having all necessary needles on me at all times, and I enjoy working with them. But I just LOVE it when I get to knit something with those size 7 Addis, I have to confess. It's a whole other experience. Like sleeping on satin sheets or something.

Hmmm, I wouldn't mind a few more of those 16"ers.... *Amy starts counting the pennies in her penny jar....*

I'm confused about something. Are Addis and Addi Turbo's the same thing. I see both names, but don't know what the difference is.
