Need help, please

Hi! I bought a very cheap yarn (Mollet..i think that's the name) 'cause it's my first scarf so if it turns out good i'll buy a better yarn :D .

And, again, hehe, I need some help with the circular needles .
I casted-on 90 stitches (that's what the site told us to do), but it didn´t go all the way around the needles, so when it was time to knit, the working yarn was "too far away" from the point of the needle...did i do something wrong?

Can you help me, please?

What size needle are you using?

Either your needle is too long, or you caston VERY tightly...

Oh! I don´t know if the sizes are the same as there (i'm from a different country) but here the size of the needles i'm using is 4.5 (23" or 24" i think).

The pattern calls for a 12-16" needle, so the cable on yours is too long. You need a different needle. Sorry.

Yep...from point to point. And, Id go for the 16" needle...you'll get more use out of it in the long run.
