k2tog

OK what is the difference between k2tog and k2tog-tbl?

The abbreviation key says tbl is through back loop...my question is this if I am knitting two stitches together then I am inserting my right needle knitwise, in other words, the the back loops. So I don't get it. :thinking:

I know it is different because the pattern reads:

Row 2 *K 1, yo, k 1, k2tog-tbl, p 1, k2tog, k 1, p 1, k 2, p 1, k2tog, k 1, p 1, k 1; rep from *.

Since they have both in the directions I am assuming they are different stitches.

K2tog tbl twists the stitches in the opposite direction of k2tog. With K2tog, the second st falls on top of the first st. With K2tog tbl, the first st falls on top of the second. Have you seen Amy's videos for the two? K2tog and K2tog tbl

Also when a pattern reads to psso...do you dropped the stitch off the needle? That is what I am guessing. Here is the pattern:

Row 6 *K 1, yo, k 3, yo, slip1-k2tog-psso, p 1, k3tog, yo, k 3, yo, k 1; rep from *.

Never mind...Amy I guess has a video on everything! I went looking before I posted but couldn't find them.
