Need help with a new pattern
I have tried 3 times now and keep coming up wrong. I think it's a mental block and definitely need some help.

The pattern has me cast on 45 stitches, knit 4 rows and then:
K5, *k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl1-k1-psso, k5, rep from * to end.

I keep ending up with 4 stitches left. Any suggesstions as to what I may be doing wrong?

The way I figure it, the stuff inside the *.....* takes up 10 stitches, so you should be able to do the first 5 knits, then repeat the *.....* 4 times to come up with your 45 stitches.

So.....

K5, *k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl1-k1-psso, k5, rep from * to end.

K2tog (uses 2 stitches)
yo (doesn't count)
k1 (uses 1 stitch)
sl1 (uses 1 stitch)
k1 (uses 1 stitch)
psso (doesn't count)
k5 (uses 5 stitches)

=10 stitches

Does that help at all???

Thanks KnitQueen! I was doing the YO wrong by bringing the yarn over and knitting a stich as the YO. I just watched Amy's video for clarification after I saw that you had the YO not counted as a stitch.

Thanks so much for your help!!
